About time for an update

5-28-05 — Rachelle
Ok. So it's been quite a while since we've updated this. For anyone who actually looks at it, sorry! So, what have we been up to since December? My younger brother had come up the week before Thanksgiving to see the Vikings play football, and that is the last time that we've had anyone come and visit us – hint hint . Other than that, not much has happened up until the past 3 months. The year started out normal enough. Spend time w/ the families for the holidays, come back & work. Etc. Etc. Then in March I decided I wasn't entirely happy with my job, so I began thinking of a career change. My last day of work was March 26 th , and I didn't exactly know what was going to happen next. Well, after a lot of resumes, quite a few interviews and a couple stressful days worrying I'd spend the summer unemployed, I got a job offer from Marketing Architects. They are a Minneapolis based advertising agency that deals solely with radio. If you want to know about the company: markarch.com. Once I got the offer, I found out my training wouldn't start for two weeks – so I went home to Nebraska . The best part was , no one knew I was coming. I surprised Terry (well, he had 4 hours notice), Dan's sister and Mom, Jenni & Connie, at Jenni's bridal shower, all my friends, Mom at work…and the funniest was Dad – almost falling off the tractor when he saw me coming down the road. Dan joined me in Nebraska later for his sister's wedding – which was beautiful!! I came back to Minnesota right after the wedding and started work. It has been going really well. It's the first time since I graduated college that I'm not doing outside sales. And with gas prices how they are, it's nice! We've also moved to a new apartment, first time since moving to Minnesota that we don't have a roommate – and it's great! I liked our roommates, but it's nice to be alone again. So…now that I have paid vacation days, and a new apartment – everyone can feel free to come visit any time!! We are waiting!
