Medievil Times

Well, I had a pretty good birthday the other day. We went to Medieval Times where they act out battles the knights of the 12th century would have fought. They also serve a nice meal of Soup, Chicken Breast, Ribs, Bread, Baked Potato and a turnover, all of which must be ate without silver wear to reflect the dining practices of these days long ago. It wasn’t quite as messy as I would have pictured, but none the less, it was very interesting to eat like a very small child. During the meal the Knights battled each other raising cheers and boos from the crowd. We were seated in the realm of the green knight which is known for it’s drunkards, swine and other rats of the earth. Take a look at Damon, Megan, Rachelle and I seated in this wretched section here. I think our section cheered the loudest by far while the green knight went undefeated until the last battle. The final battle went on for quite some time while the two enemies squared off, I think it was the best fight all night. Finally the green knight was defeated by goodly knight-priest. Overall it was very entertaining and thanks again to my Mom for the gift of attending! Love Ya

Christmas Plans

The plan right now is to leave here on the 23rd of December and arrive in Nebraska that same day. First we’ll visit Rachelle’s parents and family. We’ll celebrate Christmas eve there for sure, as for when we’ll be heading toward Kearney is yet to be determined.

Update

Rachelle
Well, this is my first adventure on our website. As you can see, Dan has been doing all the updating and telling about what’s been going on. But I decided to take it upon myself to get the photos updated and write an update on us. Visit the “Wedding Album” as I have scanned in all the photos that are going to be posted. There are about another 200 from the reception that aren’t going to see the world wide web 🙂 Also look at the “Photo Album”, I’ve taken a few more pictures of the apartment to try and give a better idea of what it looks like. There are also some family pictures we had taken, both of my family and of Dan’s.

Things are going really well for both of us job-wise. We both really like what we are doing, and that makes life a lot easier. We’ve only had a few visitors since our venture South. My older brother, Terry, and his girlfriend were here on Saint Patrick’s Day, my cousin from Wisconsin, Steve Sweeney was here in May, and mom, dad & Jeremiah came to visit the first weekend in June. Connie, Kevin & Jenni were here over Labor Day, and Todd Chandler, whom Dan went to high school with, is back from his trip over seas and came to visit us again just a couple weeks ago. Now, as you are aware, we are coming into fall and soon winter will be upon us…well, upon those of you in Nebraska. What better time to come and visit Texas than when it is 20 degrees at home, and a balmy 60 to 70 degrees here? 🙂

We aren’t exactly sure when we’ll be back…maybe Thanksgiving…but definitely sometime between Christmas and New Years. We are coming on the time of year that we will miss all of you the most, so anyone who would like to write, call, or come visit is definitely welcome!

Family Visit

Dan
Obviously it’s been awhile since my last update. I still have a bunch of wedding photos that I can scan in, but its such a long process I’m not going to promise anything. I quit the sign making job I had after I decided it wasn’t the career for me. I accepted a job at Fire Specialists, Inc. last Wednesday (8-27). It’s an office manager job and would have me managing about 10-20 sales professionals who would be selling our products, which includes, fire extinguishers, flame out, pepper spray and cold fire.

My Mom, Kevin and Jennifer visited us this labor day weekend. All the pictures that were taken are on my mom’s camera, so unfortunately I don’t have a photo album to go with this weekends visit. The big event on their trip down was a faulty alternator that they had to get replaced about 20 miles from the Texas border. Luckily they were only about 2 miles outside of a town. They arrived here around seven on Friday night. Nothing too exciting happened that evening, just took them to Bennigan’s, which is a sports bar type of atmosphere.
